Heart of the Home (UK) Ltd is fully compliant with the new Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014. These have incorporated the old Distance selling regulations.
When you place an order on our website and send payment you have entered into a contract with us. This starts when we dispatch the product to you. We honour this by providing you with the item(s) you have ordered in a fully working condition and fit for purpose, they will be as described in our online catalogue. All prices are listed in GB Pounds Sterling.
We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch and we will inform you by email if that is the case.
We require payment in full before processing your order and we only accept Payment via Paypal. This method gives you the highest possible security and allows you to use all credit and debit cards to securely pay for your item. Your credit card details are never shown on any pages and we never see your card details. You do not have to have a Paypal account to make a payment with them.
All transactions are dealt with using GB Pounds Sterling, for overseas transactions they are converted from your local currency by Paypal.
Cancellations & Returns
We hope that you will be very happy with orders placed and the goods received however, if for any reason you are not completely happy, you change your mind or you bought something by mistake, you have the legal right to cancel your order from the date it was placed, up to 14 days after you have received it.
If you wish to cancel your order please send your request by email to [email protected] or by post at our address shown on the contact us page.
If you have already received your order you will have to return the item(s) to us before we can refund your money. They must be returned unused, as received and in a re-saleable condition, with the original tags and packaging attached. Item(s) not returned in reasonable condition will be subject to a re-stocking fee due to the value of the product being diminished. We will advise the amount of the fee on return of the product. If you are unsure or have any questions please contact us for advice.
Returns (unless defective, damaged or not as specified) are returned at your own expense. For your protection we recommend that you return any item(s) via a trackable delivery service and ensure you obtain proof of postage. This is your legal cover against us not receiving your returned item(s) and will be required if the item(s) do not arrive before we can issue a refund.
Refunds will be issued within 2 working days of receiving a return. An email confirmation will be sent to you once the refund has been processed.
Delivery & Postage
At present we only ship to the UK.
The delivery charge is a flat rate of £3.95 for small items up to 2kg in weight, charges for heavier, larger items will be as listed in the description. Standard delivery takes roughly 3-5 working days. Items are usually dispatched within 1-2 working days, although at busy periods this may not always be possible.
Orders will be dispatched to the delivery address that you have provided, we cannot be held responsible if an order is sent to the wrong address. Likewise we are not responsible if you have to collect your order from the local Royal Mail office or Courier depot if you were not present at the delivery address to accept it.
International / EU Postage: It may be possible to ship items worldwide, please email us for a quote. However, any items shipped overseas and incurring any customs charges due to the price or nature of product will be payable by the customer.
Product descriptions and measurements given are accurate and correct at the time of listing, however any specifications given are intended to give a general description. There may be slight variations of colour or finish either due to the nature of the item, the photographic process or computer software. Natural characteristics of wood such as knots, holes, cracks, finish variations and fading or discoloration are to be expected and embraced as part of the Shabby Chic aesthetic.
If the description is obviously in error Heart of The Home (UK) Ltd reserve the right to limit its liability to return the money that the customer has paid.
Sale items are reduced in price; they may be end of line or have slight defects or marks/scratches on them. The reason for the reduced price will be clearly stated in the description but all items are still fit for purpose.
Faulty / Damaged Items
We trust everything will be as you expect when you receive your order. If however, anything is wrong due to damage, the item is not fit for purpose, or the description is incorrect then we will refund you in full. The original postage cost and any additional cost incurred to return the item back to us will also be refunded.
Please contact us by email and we will advise you how to proceed, our aim is to resolve any issues within 48 hours. We will issue a refund on receipt of the returned product. Please obtain proof of postage if you are returning item(s) to us, this is your legal cover against us not receiving your returned item(s).
Exclusion Of Liability
We do not accept liability for any loss or damage that you suffer as a result of using this website.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence which cannot be excluded or under the law of the United Kingdom.
Law And Jurisdiction
English law governs these terms and conditions. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
